Indeed, why should you vote? If you’re like me, you have lots of friends—whether friends of the close, personal variety or those on Facebook—who implore you today to vote on November 2^nd. 

Of course you must vote; it is your sacred civic responsibility to vote. And, I'm here to lend my voice to urge those few of you who read my blog to Vote.

Not, however, to vote early and often. I don’t care when you vote on Election Day, and I hope you vote but once. However, you must vote.

Why?

• If you are a Republican, you want to vote to do your part to turn our government to what you believe should be better (or, at least, different) policies.
• If you’re a Democrat, you want to vote to help ensure that the change or progress that compelled you to vote in 2008 is not completely lost in this mid-term election.
• If, like me, you are a [gasp!] independent voter, unaligned with any political party, you want to make your voice heard and elect those, regardless of party affiliation, whom you think best qualified to help implement your vision.
